My very favourite fabric and apparel brand Raymond had partnered with Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) to introduce a new line of clothing under the brand ‘Khadi by Raymond’.

What’s more is that KVIC will certify Raymond to use Khadi mark to sell ready-made garments and fabric which will be available at KVIC and Raymond outlets across the country. This means you can now find your favourite Raymond designs in other outlets apart from the brand stores.

The basic motive of this collaboration was smoothly put forth by the company CEO Mr. Sanjay Behl  “Khadi is looking for an economic revolution and Raymond has technical expertise as well as significant global presence. This is a perfect match”

What’s more interesting is the way Raymond took us through the entire concept of ‘Khadi by Raymond’ in its new contemporary avatar and how it is going to contribute towards the nation’s economy. Truly the best way to make ‘Khadi for nation, Khadi for fashion’, come true!

The event welcomed honourable ministers and interestingly, the chief guest of the event was none other but Mahatama Gandhi’s grand-daughter Mrs Sumitra Gandhi- Kulkarni. There were indo-fusion Kathak and music performances and a lot of insight about the entire event and Khadi’s historical significance shared by Mr. Saxena, KVIC Chairman.

The collection displayed was beautiful! Both menswear and women’s wear had such interesting designs with intricate details that just took Khadi from a basic fabric to a high fashion fabric!

This collection, is now dedicated to change the game for Khadi.
